I am getting back into photography. After being disappointed by the Canon 77D, I finally got the 760D I wanted, along with a Meike battery grip (which came with a remote control as well) and I am very happy. This weekend I tried it out a bunch. I also spent some time this week looking at YouTube tutorials on photography to refresh my skills.
I also ordered a nice tripod with a ball head (also used from eBay). That should arrive tomorrow. I really want to start experimenting with night photography. While I still think that the best sunrises from my current apartment are in the fall, the late winter / early spring sunrises are starting to shape up to be pretty good too, when the sun is actually shining (which seems to be about 1-2 days per week right now).
When I went to post these pictures, I realized that my image meta plugin was still working quite all the way to get the IPTC information from the images onto the blog. I blogged about all of this EXIF, IPTC, and such last year, and mentioned that I would tackle the alt text problems another day. Well, today was that other day. I think I have that working now as well. I hope to release version 0.2 of the plugin soon (the first update in over a decade).
