Today was quite nice weather again, high around 7C (45F) and sunny, so I decided to take a walk again. I had some packages to return to Amazon, so Clare dropped me off around 11 a.m. at the UPS store, and I walked home. I started off on the Big Dry Creek trail towards Standley Lake, then I discovered a new trail, the Farmers High Line Canal Trail. I took that, which led me back to Wadsworth Pkwy. I walked south on that a bit, and noticed the Yak and Yeti restaurant, which offers tasty Indian food and Indian inspired beer. I had brought sandwiches and water with me, so I wasn’t hungry, but I decided to take a little break and enjoy a Jalapeño ale. Then I continued down Wadsworth a bit more, which is not that pleasant, since it is a big busy road, so I then headed to a smaller road, Allison. I hadn’t planned my route exactly before hand, but was hoping to go at least 3 or 4 hours, so I decided to continue on to Olde Town Arvada. I enjoyed another beer at the Denver Beer Company, then started heading back home up the Ralston Creek trail. I got home just a bit before 5 p.m. Checking my stats for the day, I walked 26km, 34000 steps. By the time I got home my legs were quite sore. I made myself some burritos and napped for a bit, before writing up the blog post.
